Food processing by SHGs: Through small-scale rural-based food processing units, we support women by offering market for farm products and generate off-farm employment.
Training for skill development: With higher levels of skills women adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of the present world. Our ‘Capacity building and Revolving fund programme’ ensures the economic and social growth of women.
Promotion of agriculture: It is important to achieve “sustainable agricultural production” for eradicating hunger and stimulating economic growth. We encourage women to have roof-top farming in urban areas and subsistence farming in rural areas by supporting crop production and raising livestock.
SHG activities by members: We have more than 200 active women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in 14 districts of the Kerala state. All these groups are involved in various small-scale production activities, which include candle making, LED bulb/star assembling, stitching, confectionary making, catering, poultry rearing, goat rearing and small-scale farming.
Supporting students and cancer patients: Our units also take-up charitable activities like supporting cancer patients, kidney patients and students deprived economically, through selling locally made products.
